John Niepold is the Portfolio Manager responsible for Africa and the Middle East. He also follows the beverage sector. Mr. Niepold is the Portfolio Manager for The Africa Emerging Markets Fund and the Emerging Markets Middle East Fund. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as an independent emerging markets research analyst for institutional investment advisors, stockbroking firms and development agencies and was a Senior Investment Analyst for Crosby Securities in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia. Mr. Niepold has a B.A. in economics from Davidson College and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill.
Dobrinka Cidrof, CFA is the Portfolio Manager responsible for Turkey and Israel. She provides analytical coverage in the Middle East and focuses on the steel sector. Ms. Cidrof has experience with the Firm as a Portfolio Manager for Eastern Europe. She currently works for the Firm from Istanbul. Prior to joining the Firm, she was an Analyst for TEB, a major investment bank in Turkey. Ms. Cidrof received a B.A. in Accounting/Finance from Bosphorus University and has an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Peter Trofimenko is the Portfolio Manager responsible for Central Europe, Russia, and South Africa. He also follows the banking, finance, and pharmaceuticals sectors. Mr. Trofimenko also has experience with the Firm as an Analyst in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Prior to joining EMM, he was an Assistant Professor at the Ukrainian Institute of International Relations of Kiev State University, a principal in Vecoba Trust Company, and an editor for Fortune Business Weekly. Mr. Trofimenko has an M.A. and a PhD from Kiev State University.
Rita Lun is the Portfolio Manager for the Chinese Hemisphere (China/Hong Kong and Taiwan) and Korea. She also focuses on the electronics/semiconductor sector. Ms. Lun is a Co-Portfolio Manager for the Emerging Markets New Economy Fund. She is partially based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining EMM, she was an Investment Analyst for Credit Lyonnais in Hong Kong and an Analyst for The Union Bank of Switzerland. Ms. Lun has a B.A. in History from the University of Hong Kong.
Martin Horn is the Portfolio Manager responsible for the Firm’s quantitative products and strategies. Mr. Horn manages the Firm’s quantitative emerging markets products and coordinates the Firm’s portfolio risk analysis and research. Previously, he was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager of European and emerging market quantitative portfolios for Citibank Global Asset Management in London. Mr. Horn studied Business Administration at the Vocational College of Flensburg in Germany.
John DiTieri is the Co-Portfolio Manager/Analyst responsible for Colombia, Peru, Indonesia, the Philippines and Venezuela. He also focuses on the telecommunications and tobacco sectors. Mr. DiTieri is a Co-Portfolio Manager of the Emerging Markets New Economy Fund. He also has experience at the Firm as a Portfolio Accountant. Prior to joining the Firm, he was an Auditor for Spicer & Oppenheimer. Mr. DiTieri holds a B.A. in Accounting from Adelphi University.
Mark Jarvis is the Analyst responsible for Korea and Taiwan. He also focuses on the wireless telecom sector. Mr. Jarvis was previously a consultant with a Hong Kong-based political risk analysis firm. He has a B.S. in Education from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Clecius Peixoto, CFA is the Co-Portfolio Manager/Analyst responsible for Brazil, Chile and Argentina. He also follows the oil and gas, utilities, and petrochemicals sectors. Previously, he was an Analyst with Banco ABC Brasil S.A. and LTCB Latin America, Inc. Mr. Peixoto holds an engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica in Brazil.
Cindy Chi, CFA is the Analyst responsible for China. Previously, she was a Consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, Marketing Manager with Nuera Communications, Inc and a Financial Analyst with Forrest Binkley and Brown. She has a B.S. in Material Science, B.A. in Chinese Linguistics from Tsinghau University, a Masters in International Relations and Pacific Affairs from University of California, San Diego and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Previously, he was a Market Information Manager with Bank of America, Analyst with Redstone Investment Management, LP, President (Co-Founder) of ITBP (Internship-Training Business Program) South Africa and Analyst with Bank of America/FleetBoston. He has an AB in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School.
Ying-Wei Chen, CFA is the Quantitative Analyst responsible for analytics and modeling support for the Quantitative group, as well as index database management and program trading within the firm. Ms. Chen was previously a Senior Performance Analyst (with trading, portfolio administration, analysis, and index maintenance experience) with the Calvert Group. Prior to that, she was a Chief Portfolio Administrator with the Edgar Lomax Company, a local investment firm. She received a B.A. from Fu-jen Catholic University (Taiwan) in International Business and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Geoffrey Wilson is the Analyst responsible for working on the Firm’s quantitative asset allocation model for the Quantitative Team. He received a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Georgetown University.

Marios Athanasiadis, CFA is the Analyst responsible for providing analytical support for South Asia and for following the industrial conglomerates, insurance and pharmaceuticals sectors. Previously, he was a corporate officer involved in finance for Alpha Credit Bank in Cyprus. Eylem Senyuz is the Head Trader for the Firm. Mr. Senyuz was previously with Charles River Systems, where he was the lead manager for their portfolio trading systems. Prior to that, he was a Teaching Assistant in the Hughey Center for Financial Services of Bentley College, an Assistant Strategist at BankBoston, and a Fixed Income Securities Trader with Demirbank (Istanbul, Turkey). Mr. Senyuz holds a B.S. in Economics from Bogazici University (Turkey) and an M.S. in Finance from Bentley College.

Ashwini Agarwal is a Consultant to the Firm based in South Asia. Mr. Agarwal is the principal of Demeter Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (“Demeter”), which has been appointed as a non-discretionary strategic advisor to EMM under a contract between EMM and Demeter, a newly-formed consultancy based in Mumbai, India. Mr. Agarwal has 15 years of experience; and has worked as analyst for 4 years with local investment and brokerage firms, and 11 years in equity sales & management roles with Kotak and UBS. Prior to forming Demeter, Mr. Agarwal was Executive Director & Head of UBS securities India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Agarwal holds an undergraduate degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore.
Tristan Clube is a Consultant to the Firm for the Middle East. Mr Clube is the principal of Tethys Advisors Ltd (“Tethys”), which has been appointed as a non-discretionary investment advisor to EMM. Tethys is a consultancy based in Edinburgh, UK that specialises in providing advisory services in emerging markets. Tethys is regulated by the FSA in the UK. Dr Clube has over 19 years of investment management experience in emerging markets including more than 10 years in the Middle East. Previously he was Head of Emerging Markets at Martin Currie Investment Management and head of Regional Asset Management at EFG-Hermes Ltd., a boutique Middle East Investment Bank. He is currently a consultant to the EFG-Hermes Middle East and Developing Africa Fund and the EFG-Hermes Telecom Fund. Dr Clube holds an MA from Oxford University and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh.
